On the first day we travelled to Potter Heigham and hired a launch for a trip on the broads. We travelled up the river Bure to South Walsham Broad, passing the ruins of St Benet’s Abbey which has a windmill built within the gatehouse.
The map of our journey from Cambridge to Norwich shows a major deviation, where we went to visit Oxburgh Hall, unfortunately closed due to the high winds, which brought down an oak tree in the grounds. We moved on to Gooderstone Water Garden for a cup of coffee and a pee

On the Friday, we took a bus ride into Norwich, and visited Norwich Castle Museum, where we were ejected due to a fire alarm going off, Norwich Cathedral, where we joined a guided tour which proved a problem as a service started during the tour and it was difficult to hear the tour guide over the ampified service.
