We stopped at the aire next to Le Crotoy harbour, and about 3 o’clock, the local municipal police came around, and made everyone buy a ticket. We had an evening meal in one of the harbour side restaurants and although we were in an outside seating area, when it started to rain, a cover was put over us, so we remained comfortable.
The next day, we decided to take the tourist train from Le Crotoy to St Valery sur Somme, so we had to move our vans to the car park at the station.
The train journey was via Noyelles, where a different engine took over in both directions. We walked along the promenade, visited the old walled town and had lunch in St Valery, and returned in time to make the next journey to St Omer.
