The campsite at Confolens is right on the banks of the river Vienne. A lovely clean site, but with a strange setup for the EHU points.
There is an old traffic free bridge across the river, and the town has some interesting spots.
On the journey from Objat, I passed through the village of Saint Segur-le-Chateau, which I stopped to Photograph.
On a not so hot day I took a bike ride along the Vienne and found the village of Saint-Germain-de-Confolens where there is yet another chateau.
