The aire at Cherreuix is attached to Camping de l’Aumône and the owner was very active in checking on all the vans. It did have electric points, but there were not were enough to go round.
We all took our bikes to Mont St Michel, and I had Flash in the basket on the back, and as it was very hot, I put a sunshade over the top of the basket.
We had to leave our bikes at the end of the causeway, and managed to squeeze on the bus, with Flash in my arms, as dogs were not supposed to be allowed on the bus.
On returning, there weren’t enough passengers on the bus to hide the dog,so we walked back over the causeway. Both Flash and I were exhausted when we got back to the bikes, but it was worth it.
In stead of returning the way we came it was decided to cycle back along the levee. What a mistake! very bumpy and we would have be better to use the original route. The bike’s battery just lasted where we had done 26 mile in all.
