Following an exiting drive up into the Picos de Europe, the campsite was a little way outside of Potes.
On the 5th we took a taxi ride to Fuentes De to the cable car. The ride up in the car was an experience, where the final stretch of the climb was near vertical. Having got to the to, we climbed a little further getting close (1946 Metres) to the 2000metre mark which is 6,500 feet above sea level, and above some snow still on the ground.
