On arrival at Camping de Coulvee, we found that the site had suffered badly from the recent wet weather, and that most of the pitches were very wet and not suitable for motorhomes. Mary and I, with the heavier motorhomes decided to leave our vans on the roadway, as we could connect to the electric point from there, whereas Ruth was able to get onto a pitch which was drier than most.

We spent 4 days here, on the first, we went into town and found a market in progress, and made some purchases. we then heard that a jazz festival was being held on the 18th, so stayed, each day going into town to enjoy a coffee at a local bar, and on one day taking a walk around the nearby lake.

The festival was fun with families joining in. At one point, an energetic child knocked our table and spilt both my and Ruth’s drink. The mother was very apologetic and replaced my drink, but not Ruths!
