A wonderful drive through the Auvergne mountains from Le Puy to Vic sur Cere. On the way I went to stay over at the aire at Le Lioran ski centre, but was not happy with the location, which is at 1400m, so travelled on to Vic.

The campsite “La Pommeraie” is a small campsite overlooking the town, which has a lovely heated swimming pool. Further up the hill were cows wearing bells at their neck, and the size of the bell was determined by the size of the cow. It was marvellous listening to the tunes being played as they moved around.
