We intended to stop in St Malo, but the aire was closed, so we moved on to Hirel. Having been here last year with Peter Bond, I knew that we would be OK.
We walked along the beach to the village of Hirel, and had coffee, and when we returned, a van turned up selling shellfish, and Ruth and Mary bought a bucket of clams which they cooked for tea, and I haven’t tasted such delicious seafood.
