From Arramanche we travelled on to Hirel in Brittany. Our intention was to stop at Le Vivier-sur-Mer, but both of the aires were closed, so we went on along the coast to Hirel. The Shoreline is made up mainly of sand and seashells, and oysters form a large part on local industry.

On the 1st June, we took a bike ride to Cancale about 6 miles from the aire. This picture shows a sculpture dedicated to the women who cleaned the oysters when they had been brought ashore.
